We’re rapidly approaching the kick off of this year’s school play: The Wizard of Oz with Studio East. Performances will be March 4 and 5, 2022 at the Lake Washington High School Theater. Sign-ups for auditions are here. There will be virtual parent information meeting on January 10th. Auditions will take place January 18th & 19th after school. Students will need to prepare a 30 second monologue (you can use the ones here or come with your own) and be prepared to sing a 30 second song clip (think very simple like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Happy Birthday). All casting will be done by Studio East - auditions are not for a specific role. Cast size will be 50 students with 5 stagehand opportunities. No previous theater experience is needed, this will be a great way to learn about Drama! There will be a parent/guardian volunteer requirement, so if your child is interested in participating, you may want to complete your LWSD volunteer application now if you are not already approved. There will be limited virtual-only volunteer opportunities. Email rhmsplay@gmail.com with any questions.
