Save the date for the PTSA General Membership Meeting - October 18 at 7pm in the school Library

 

The meeting will be in the school library on Tuesday October 18th at 7pm. 

During this meeting we will review and approve our 2022/23 budget, review and approve our Standing Rules, Principal Gorder will give any updates, and we will have a guest speaker, Mina Rizova, who will cover cyber-bullying and teen substance use trends.  Please try to attend this important meeting.

Mina Rizova is the counselor from Youth Eastside Services (YES), serving the Rose Hill and Stella Schola Middle Schools. This is her fourth year working in this learning community. She has a master’s degree in counseling from Seattle University and holds a dual license as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse counselor. She is also trained in using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral therapy.

Please note for the Guest Speaker this lecture will divide the time between the topics of cyber-bullying and teen substance use trends. It will cover useful information such as what are some warning signs to watch for, knowing how to respond and where to ask for help if needed.
